YouTube and Google agreed to a $7.5 million fund to settle claims they renewed YouTube TV subscriptions without the disclosures and consent California's Automatic Renewal Law requires. The administrator estimates $92 per valid claim, and no proof of purchase is needed.
The claim deadline is August 30, 2026. The case is Dutcher v. Google, number 20CV366905 in Santa Clara Superior Court, and YouTube and Google deny wrongdoing.

How the payout amount is decided
Fees and costs come out of $7.5 million, then the rest is divided equally among valid claims. The $92 figure is the administrator's estimate of where that lands at the expected claim count.
