Guitar Center agreed to a $2,418,495 fund for non-exempt employees who worked in California between January 11, 2020 and July 11, 2025. Nobody files a claim. Payments go out automatically, sized by how many workweeks you logged in the class period.

The lawsuit, Seilhamer v. Guitar Center Stores in Los Angeles County Superior Court, alleged unpaid overtime and minimum wages, missed meal and rest breaks, late final pay, and inaccurate wage statements. Guitar Center denies wrongdoing. A separate PAGA portion covers January 11, 2022 through July 11, 2025.

The only deadline is September 1, 2026, to opt out of the class portion or to challenge your workweek count. Payout is a discovery app, not a law firm, and cannot guarantee an amount.

How the payout amount is decided

After fees, costs, and the PAGA share come out of $2,418,495, the administrator divides the rest by total class workweeks and multiplies by your weeks. Someone with 150 workweeks gets three times the share of someone with 50. Your estimated count and payment are viewable on the official site.

If your count looks wrong, send pay stubs to Atticus Administration, P.O. Box 64053, St. Paul, MN 55164, or call 800-470-0690, before September 1, 2026.

Who is covered

  • Non-exempt Guitar Center Stores employees who worked in California between January 11, 2020 and July 11, 2025.
  • For the PAGA portion, non-exempt California employees from January 11, 2022 through July 11, 2025.
  • Anyone who already released these claims is excluded.

When money arrives

The final approval hearing is October 2, 2026. Payments issue after that, barring an appeal. You cannot opt out of the PAGA payment even if you leave the class portion.
