The University of Pennsylvania Health System agreed to pay up to $9,250,000 to settle claims that tracking pixels on the myPennMedicine portal sent patient health information to outside companies. About 756,723 people are in the class, and each valid claim pays up to $15.
The claim deadline is September 16, 2026. No proof is required. You need the unique ID and PIN from your notice, or you can mail a paper form. Penn Medicine denies wrongdoing.

How the payout amount is decided
$15 is the cap per person. The fund is up to $9.25 million, which works out to a little over $12 per class member if everyone filed, so the $15 cap only holds if enough people skip the claim. After fees and costs, the administrator divides the money across valid claims and pays each up to $15.
