The Walt Disney Company agreed to pay $50 million to settle claims that it worked with other companies to keep live pay-TV streaming prices high. YouTube TV and DirecTV Stream subscribers (including the old DirecTV Now and AT&T TV Now) from April 1, 2019 through March 31, 2026 can file for a share sized by their subscription length.

The claim deadline is September 8, 2026, and nothing needs to be uploaded. You self-certify your subscription period under penalty of perjury. Disney denies wrongdoing.

The official site is the only place a claim counts, and filing there is free.

How the payout amount is decided

Fees and costs come out first. The administrator then weighs every valid claim by subscription length and divides the remaining fund in proportion. Longer subscriptions get more; more claimants means smaller shares for everyone. The per-person number is unknowable until the September 8, 2026 cutoff, and anyone quoting one is guessing.

Who qualifies

  • You subscribed to YouTube TV between April 1, 2019 and March 31, 2026.
  • Or you subscribed to DirecTV Stream, DirecTV Now, or AT&T TV Now in that window.
  • You are a U.S. resident.

When money arrives

Final approval is scheduled for January 14, 2027. Money moves only after the court approves the settlement and any appeals finish, which puts payment sometime in 2027 at the earliest.

How to file

Visit OnlineTVSettlement.com, log in with your YouTube TV or DirecTV credentials (email plus account number or the phone on the account), confirm your subscription period, and submit before September 8, 2026. Save the confirmation number. Or let Payout file it for you at no cost. Payout is a discovery app, not a law firm, and does not decide eligibility.

Questions about the Disney YouTube TV Antitrust settlement

How much will YouTube TV subscribers get from the Disney settlement?

It depends on how long you subscribed and how many people file. Shares are pro rata from the $50 million net fund, with no fixed per-person figure.

What do I need to file?

Your YouTube TV or DirecTV account login details and your subscription dates. No documents are required.

When are payments expected?

After the January 14, 2027 final approval hearing and any appeals.

Is this the only one you are in?

Probably not. Payout checks nearly 100 open settlements against what you have bought and where you have lived, then files the ones you qualify for. Free. The administrator pays you.
