Allina Health System agreed to a $12.5 million settlement over tracking pixels on its websites that allegedly sent personal and health information to outside companies. Roughly 2,531,323 people are in the class, and each approved claimant gets an equal share of whatever remains in their group's pot after costs.

The claim deadline is September 8, 2026. You do not need a receipt or any document. The case is in the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota, number 24-CV-3674, and Allina denies the allegations.

Filing on the official site is free, and it is the only place a claim counts.

How the payout amount is decided

The fund is split into two pools before anyone gets paid. Portal users, non-portal bill pay users, and non-portal scheduling users share $10,303,098. Other patients who never used those services share $2,196,902.

Inside each pool, the administrator deducts court-approved fees and costs, then divides what is left equally among approved claims. So the per-person figure depends on how many people in your pool file. Fewer claims means a bigger share. Nobody can quote the number until claims close.

Who is in the class

  • You used an Allina website as a portal user, bill pay user, or scheduling user between September 16, 2018, and May 11, 2026.
  • Or you were an Allina patient in that window who never used those services.
  • Allina officers, directors, related entities, court staff, and anyone who opted out are excluded.

When money arrives

Claims close September 8, 2026. The court then holds a final approval hearing, and payments go out only after approval becomes final and any appeals end. On comparable pixel cases that has meant several months to a year after the deadline. Save your confirmation and tell the administrator if you move.

Submit online by September 8, 2026, or mail a form postmarked by that date. Or let Payout file it for you, free. Payout is a discovery app, not a law firm, and cannot guarantee eligibility or an amount.
