Sandoz and Fougera ($275 million), Sun and Taro ($200 million), Heritage ($29 million), and Apotex ($29 million) agreed to a combined $533 million to settle claims they coordinated prices on roughly 200 generic drugs. If you paid out of pocket for any of them between May 1, 2009 and December 31, 2019, you can claim a share sized by your documented spending.
The claim deadline is November 9, 2026. Proof is required. The case is MDL 2724 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania before Judge Cynthia M. Rufe, and every defendant denies liability.

How the payout amount is decided
There is no flat amount. After fees and costs, the administrator adds up every claimant's documented spending on covered drugs and pays each person the same fraction of their own total. Someone who spent $2,400 on gabapentin and levothyroxine gets twelve times the share of someone who spent $200. Insurance claims where you paid nothing do not count; copays, deductibles, and cash prices do.
Who qualifies
- You paid out of pocket for at least one covered generic, including albuterol, amitriptyline, baclofen, celecoxib, doxycycline, fluoxetine, gabapentin, levothyroxine, pravastatin, and propranolol, between May 1, 2009 and December 31, 2019.
- You bought in any U.S. state except Indiana or Ohio, or in Washington D.C., Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
- You are an individual, a business, or a union or employer health plan, and not a federal agency, state Medicaid program, pharmacy benefit manager, or fully insured employer.
When money arrives
The facts available do not list a final approval date. Because the formula depends on everyone's documented totals, the administrator cannot compute a single payment until after November 9, 2026 and court approval. Ten years of purchases across a national class means processing will take a while.
