Brooklyn Bedding and its sister brands Leesa, Helix Sleep, and Bear Mattress agreed to an $8.16 million settlement that pays $110 per mattress to California buyers. You choose cash or a $110 credit voucher good for three years on the brand's site. About 74,212 mattresses are covered.
The lawsuit, Grossman v. Night US, case 26CU017232N in California Superior Court, alleged the four sites inflated the original price shown next to the sale price, making discounts look bigger than they were. Brooklyn Bedding denies it.
The claim deadline is September 25, 2026, and proof of purchase is required. Filing is free on the official site.
How the payout amount is decided
The amount is a fixed $110 for each covered mattress, so two mattresses means $220. You pick the form: cash, or a voucher that is stackable, transferable, and valid for 3 years on the original brand's website. Because the payment is per unit, the count of other claimants does not dilute yours.

When money arrives
The court granted preliminary approval on June 26, 2026. The final approval hearing is set for October 16, 2026, three weeks after the claim deadline. Cash and vouchers go out after that approval is final and any appeals resolve, which on similar cases has run several months.
